When you consider the meteoric births of stars in the universe, it only seems natural that actress Shalini Pandey, famous for her commanding performances in Arjun Reddy and Jayeshbhai Jordaar, would join Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma in Manali for a new schedule of their upcoming film, the fantasy comedy Rahu Ketu.
The film has, by now, already established itself in the eye of the general public as one of the most unusual films and relevant hip hotel and location issues films to catch notice and interest, thanks to its quirkiness and fresh casting. As a result of all this unpredictability, expectations of Shalini’s role add even more spice to the mix — and for good reason.

This second schedule of Rahu Ketu intends to embellish the story, invented with dark humour, fantasy, and slice-of-life awkwardness, with visual explorations of the stunning scenic hills of Manali. While the filmmakers remain reticent about the plot details, most outsiders view the film as a comedic pastiche of planetary chaos that involves absurd — and frequently hilarious — interludes of fate, amusing calamity, and astral mischief, making it a sort of cosmic comedy in the most literal sense of the phrase.
Shalini Pandey: A Quirky Yet Grounded Fit
While Shalini is fresh off her web series Dabba Cartel and a role in a historical called Maharaj, the most compelling reason being considered for her casting is that the vehicle Rahu Ketu will have a certain sense of reserved intensity in the absurdity the film needs and embodies for a film laden with a cosmic idea of silliness and satire.
The chemistry between Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, both experienced players in timing-driven comedies like Fukrey, will be something to witness.

The post had him with Varun and Shalini, suggesting strong camaraderie while hinting at a vibe that balances myth and madness.

The film marks the directorial debut of Vipul Vig, the writer of the Fukrey series, a cult comedy franchise celebrated for absurdist humour with social comments. With Rahu Ketu he is getting into directorial duties and fully engaging his quirky sensibility — but now on a larger canvas.
