After Sanju, fans are eagerly waiting for Ranbir Kapoor’s next film. The actor has got a lot of big projects in his hands which includes Brahmastra, Animal, Luv Ranjan’s next, PK Sequel and Shamshera.

Now, we have the latest update from the film. Trade sources associated with ‘Shamshera’ have clarified that the film has a backdrop of British rule. Basically it is a revenge drama.
Here Ranbir Kapoor’s character takes revenge for the death of his loved ones from Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay Dutt is in the role of a jailer of British rule in this. He does bad to Ranbir i.e. Shamshera’s family. Shamshera takes his revenge. To make this revenge drama larger than life, the story is set during the British rule of the 18th century. Ranbir’s war is with Sanjay Dutt as well as British soldiers.
A source close to the film said, “It has the same flavor and tone of action as in Quentin Tarantino’s period films. Here Sanjay Dutt’s character of British era jailer and clash of rebel and freedom fighter Ranbir Kapoor i.e. Shamshera have been designed according to the big screen experience.”

The film is ready, but the makers are waiting for the theaters to open. They do not want to spoil the habit of audience watching cinema by selling it on OTT.
