Shefali Shah and Jaideep Ahlawat to share screen for Avinash Arun’s next, details inside!

Jaideep Ahlawat and Shefali Shah to share screen together. According to latest info, the two powerhouses of skill are teaming up for Andhadhun producer Sanjay Routray’s next project. In this yet-to-be-titled drama, Jaideep and Shefali, who have spelled brilliance with their every performance, will be seen together for the first time. The film will be directed by Avinash Arun, who also co-directed the critically acclaimed Paatal Lok last year.

“Avinash Arun is returning to feature films six years after his National Award-winning Marathi film Killa (2014). It’s a thought-provoking drama and marks his debut feature directorial in Hindi. Jaideep and Shefali both are playing author-backed roles in this well-crafted, thrilling story set in Maharashtra. The film has already gone on floors in Konkan and will be wrapped up by this month-end,” a source close to the development told PeepingMoon.

Shefali Shah is working on her sixth project following the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions in India in late 2020. Following the success of her Netflix series Delhi Crime, which reintroduced her to the public eye, the actress has been filming nonstop for a variety of films and OTT projects that will all be released next year. She’ll next be featured in the second season of Delhi Crime, followed by her husband Vipul Shah’s medical thriller series Human on Disney+Hotstar. Junglee Pictures’ Doctor G, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Red Chillies Entertainment’s Darlings, starring Alia Bhatt, and Suresh Triveni’s Jalsa, starring Vidya Balan, are all set to release in 2022.

Meanwhile, Jaideep Ahlawat is riding high on his newfound stardom thanks to the great success of Paatal Lok and has a full slate of projects lined up for the coming year. The actor will next be seen in Applause Entertainment and BBC’s Indian adaptation of the British series Guilt. He was recently seen in SonyLIV’s award-winning anthology Tryst With Destiny. He’s also starring in Siddharth P Malhotra’s YRF historical Maharaja, in which Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan makes his acting debut. Other films in Jaideep’s slate include Ayushmann Khurrana’s Action Hero and Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller with Kareena Kapoor Khan, all of which are set to begin production in April 2022!
