
Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb is now in trouble after Shri Rajput Karni Sena sent a legal notice to the makers demanding a change in the title of the film. Laxmmi Bomb is Akshay Kumar’s first 2020 release.
Starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, Laxmmi Bomb is scheduled to release on November 9 on Disney+Hotstar.
According to the information, the notice was sent by advocate Raghavendra Mehrotra on behalf of the Karni Sena. The notice states that Laxmmi Bomb was being considered “derogatory and offensive” to Goddess Laxmi worshipped by the Hindu community.
Claiming that the makers deliberately used the title Laxmmi Bomb to lower the dignity of and show disrespect towards the Goddess it demands to change the title as it sends out a wrong message to the society.
Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana, both the films are directed by Raghava Lawrence. It revolves around a man who gets possessed by the ghost of a transgender.
