Shruti Haasan, the Indian actress, composer, and playback singer, is set to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming Telugu film Nani 30, co-starring Mrunal Thakur. The news was confirmed by Bollywood Hungama, which reported that Shruti Haasan will be making a special appearance in the film after the massive love received for Dasara. Nani 30 is the latest project for Nani, who has previously starred in a number of successful Telugu films. The film is directed by Vivek Athreya and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
Shruti Haasan, who comes from a prominent family of actors, started her career as a playback singer at the age of six in the 1992 Tamil film Thevar Magan. She later made a cameo appearance in her father’s Tamil-Hindi bilingual directorial Hey Ram (2000) as a child artist. Haasan’s first major appearance was in the Hindi film Luck (2009), in which she played a dual role of a woman avenging her twin sister’s death. She played the female lead in the Telugu film Anaganaga O Dheerudu (2011), which marked her debut in the Telugu film industry.
Shruti Haasan has since appeared in a number of successful films, including Gabbar Singh (2012), Balupu (2013), and Yevadu (2014). She has received several awards for her performances, including the Best Actress – Tamil at the 60th Filmfare Awards South ceremony for her performance in 3 (2012) and the Best Actress – Telugu at the 63rd Filmfare Awards South ceremony for her performance in Srimanthudu (2015).
