Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Trailer Review: Post tackling the impotency issues in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Ayushmann Khurrana is back with the team adding Jitendra Kumar in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. This film addresses the issue of homosexuality and directly addresses homophobic.
The trailer starts with Ayushmann Khurrana’s character talking about someone how he never ‘chose’ to be gay. He’s pretty open about his sexuality to his family. We get to know when both him and his partner Jitendra Kumar are seen together.
The story takes a twist when Jitendra Kumar’s family decides to get him married to a girl. We see a sudden shift of the tone and how it could’ve multiple monologues to explain the serious issue they’re facing in the film.
With mainstream cinema finally opening up to the LGBTQ+ community and leading actors taking challenging roles, this film hints at the society’s outlook towards the Pride community. The quirky title is all giving signs of living a careful life if your love interest’s gender doesn’t fall under the ‘moral guidelines’. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, this fun social satire is all about being in love and walking on eggshells at the same time.
