Salman Khan is all set to return to the big screen with Sikandar and his fans can’t wait. The film is locked for an Eid 2025 release, but the exact date is still unknown. Fresh reports suggest it may not follow the usual Friday release trend.
Sikandar To Get A Sunday Release Like Tiger 3?
The teaser for Sikandar dropped on February 27 and gave fans a glimpse into its high-octane world. However, it received mixed reactions from the audience. The film’s teaser didn’t reveal whether it will hit cinemas on March 28 (Friday) or will take a different approach.
Since Ramzan Eid is expected to fall on 31 March (Monday), reports indicate the makers might go for a Sunday ( March 30) release.
An insider revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “Releasing Sikandar on 28 March wouldn’t be ideal since many in the audience might avoid cinemas during the pre-Eid period. A Sunday release makes more sense. Maharashtra will also celebrate Gudi Padwa on 30 March, boosting collections. The Eid holiday on Monday and extended festivities in key markets will ensure strong footfalls through the week.”
This wouldn’t be the first time Salman has tried this strategy. His 2023 hit Tiger 3 was also released on a Sunday (coinciding with Diwali) and it worked well at that time.
Release Date Of Salman Khan Starrer To Be Announced With Upcoming Asset
Despite all the buzz, the final decision is yet to be made. The source added, “The release date will be locked soon. The official announcement will be made through upcoming promotional material.”
Meanwhile, hints suggest a March 30 release. Mykinoplex, a well-known ticketing site in Germany, has already started selling tickets for that date.
Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar promises thrilling action and intense drama. Salman Khan leads the film with Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.
