DYK Singh Is Kinng Song ‘Teri Ore’ Has ‘Dus Bahane’ Connect
One of the standout aspects of the film was its soundtrack. The album was a massive hit, becoming the third highest-selling soundtrack of the year. The title track, Singh Is Kinng, featured a memorable cameo by Snoop Dogg and a collaboration with RDB. Another popular track, Bas Ek Kinng, included vocals from Mika Singh and Hard Kaur. The film also had chartbusters like Jee Karda, Teri Ore, Bhootni Ke, and Talli Hua.
The romantic song Teri Ore is particularly memorable. Featuring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, it was shot against the stunning backdrop of the Egyptian pyramids. Choreographer Bosco Martis, in an interview with Mid-day in 2022, shared that the grand sequence was filmed in just six hours.
He noted, “AB (Abhishek Bachchan) wanted us to do Dus Bahane and there are songs we have done in six hours, and it’s so funny that they became popular. Teri Ore was done in six hours, with Katrina changing, we were in Egypt, we had to shoot the pyramids and there was a lot to shoot. We were lucky we could do that.”
About The Film
The film’s plot follows Lucky, a carefree young man who is sent to Australia and unexpectedly becomes the king of the local underworld. His love story with Sonia adds an extra layer of charm to the narrative.
Following the success of Singh Is Kinng, a sequel, Singh Is Bliing, was released in 2015, starring Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.
As Singh Is Kinng celebrates its 16th anniversary, it remains a beloved film, remembered for its engaging storyline and infectious soundtrack.
