After Massive Saturday Surge, Sitaare Zameen Par Gets 3:00 AM Shows Across Mumbai Multiplexes!

Multiple multiplexes across Mumbai have now added shows at 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM to meet the surging demand.

Aamir Khan’s Comeback Film Does The Unbelievable And Makes Multiplexes Schedule Post-Midnight Shows

Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par has made a phenomenal box office turnaround. From a slowish advance booking and an opening of ₹10.70 crore on Day 1, the film witnessed a fantastic bump on Saturday, leading theaters across Mumbai to begin showing post-midnight shows at 1:00 AM, 3:00 AM, and even 6:00 AM!

Multiplex sources share that this kind of demand is like the height of Pathaan, Gadar 2, and Jawan’s release timings, as now Sitaare Zameen Par joins the exclusive post-pandemic club of films until the end of the pandemic that opened midnight screenings.

Mumbai Goes All In With 1:00 AM, 3:00 AM, 6:00 AM Shows

Here are some venues adding post-midnight shows due to overwhelming demand:

  • PVR Oberoi Mall, Goregaon – 1:00 AM

  • PVR Lower Parel – 1:00 AM

  • Maxus Kandivali – 3:00 AM, 6:00 AM

  • PVR Sangam, Andheri – 1:05 AM

  • Maxus Borivali – 1:30 AM, 3:00 AM, 6:00 AM

  • Metro INOX – 1:00 AM

  • PVR Orion Mall, Panvel – 1:10 AM

The jump in demand can be attributed to remarkable word-of-mouth and the power of Aamir Khan’s storytelling. Analysts have identified the arc as being driven by the film’s emotional connection and Khan’s trust with audiences.

Aamir Khan’s Strategy Has Worked: 11 AM Start & All-Night Shows

The makers had an adventurous strategy on the release day. No shows were scheduled on Friday until 11:00 AM to prevent bad optics from a low morning occupancy; it seems to have worked! Sitaare Zameen Par opened to a healthy ₹10.70 crore, and now current Saturday collections total ₹19.25 crore in early estimates.

Sunday bookings and buzz seem very strong! Advance sales are locked, and a weekend total of ₹53-55 crore is expected.

From Elite Circuits to Massy Centres: The Film is Connecting with Everybody

For a time, the movie was playing best in only elite urban centres and A-grade multiplexes, but the momentum has now moved to mass belts and to B & C centres. So-called “exhibitors” of non-national chains like Rajhans and MovieMax have confirmed they are seeing 80%-100% jumps, demonstrating that Sitaare Zameen Par is well on its way to having a sustainable run!

Trend Comparison: Is It Possible to Repeat Super 30 or Chhichhore

With the trends seen, the film seems to be currently tracking like Super 30, and it can even go beyond those numbers, depending on how energised the Monday stays. If it sees a considerable theatrical run, Sitaare Zameen Par might end up having a lifetime total in the ₹150–₹200 crore space if it can move deeper into the family audience over the next two weeks.

Box Office Worldwide Verdict

What started out as a modest opener is now becoming a case study in positive word-of-mouth magic. Aamir Khan‘s even “perfectionist” brand properties combined with content that digs in have drawn the whole narrative around. With post-midnight shows being added across Mumbai, this movie is not just a slow starter; no, Sitaare Zameen Par is now a full-throated sprinting star on the box-office racetrack.
