The fans and paparazzi were in for a treat as they caught a glimpse of the stars in a rather casual setting. Dhawan, known for his charming personality and versatile acting skills, was seen in a relaxed mood. After a brief hiatus due to a leg injury, Dhawan is back on set and ready to kick off the second schedule of Atlee’s action entertainer. The shooting is taking place in Mumbai. The actor’s return to the set marks a significant milestone in the production of this highly anticipated film.
VD18 is an action-packed drama that promises to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline, powerful performances, and high-octane action sequences. Atlee, known for directing blockbusters like Theri, Mersal, Bigil, and Jawan, is presenting the film while his wife, Priya Atlee, is bankrolling it in association with Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios. Tamil filmmaker Kalees, who has previously helmed Jiiva-starrer techno-thriller Kee, has been entrusted to direct this movie.
The second schedule of shooting is planned in multiple locations and will see Varun and his leading lady, Keerthy Suresh, canning major dramatic and emotional scenes together. Some action sequences will also be filmed in this schedule that will run till around October 15th. The film is anticipated to be wrapped up by December, with a target of releasing it in theatres in May 2024.

The makers will also be filming some action sequences in this schedule that will run till around October 15th,” a source close to the project told.
