Speaking in an interview, Gambhir highlighted that Shah Rukh Khan can ‘feel the struggle’ of others as he has himself risen from adversities.

Gautam said to Sportskeeda, “Sometimes when you haven’t struggled in your life you can’t see the hardships of others. Whether it’s SRK or anyone else who has achieved great things in life, especially with struggles, that person will always identify that about others. Because they have kept themselves in that position. So understanding the struggles of others is important because you’ve gone through those struggles yourself.”

SRK Is An Emotion, Says Gautam Gambhir
Describing his relationship with Shah Rukh as fabulous, Gambhir lauded the actor as the best owner he has worked with in the IPL. He attributed this accolade not only to Shah Rukh’s grounded nature but also to his hands-off approach when it comes to cricketing decisions. Gambhir appreciated the autonomy he enjoys as a decision-maker for KKR, crediting Shah Rukh’s unwavering trust and support for the team’s success.
Reflecting on their partnership since 2011, when Gambhir first joined KKR, he emphasised the emotional connection between Shah Rukh, the team, and himself. Gambhir described Shah Rukh as an emotion, likening his influence to that of KKR itself. He underscored the significance of trust as the cornerstone of their enduring relationship, emphasising its role in fostering mutual respect and achieving shared goals.
“Sports is a big leveler. There are no retakes here unlike the movies. He hasn’t interfered in cricketing matters and it’s a huge thing for someone like me because you have the freedom of decision making, that trust that whatever decision I take, I know he’s going to back me. That’s why we have got the results as well. My relationship with him has been fantastic since 2011 when I joined KKR for the first time. SRK is an emotion, so is KKR. A relationship is long lasting if its foundation is trust,” Gautam stated.
Meanwhile, KKR’s exceptional performance in the ongoing IPL season has been noteworthy, with the team currently leading the table after 11 matches. Shah Rukh Khan, a passionate supporter of KKR, has been a familiar presence at matches, often accompanied by his children, AbRam and Suhana Khan.
