Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates on his next big project, tentatively titled SSMB29, which stars Mahesh Babu.
SS Rajamouli Gives Fun Reaction When Asked About SSMB29 Update
In the promo video, when Rajamouli was asked about updates on SSMB29, he delivered a playful yet cheeky reply.
Instead of giving a straightforward answer, Rajamouli joked around, asking if anyone had seen a stick nearby. Upon spotting a small stick on the ground, he brushed it off, only to pick up a massive log instead.
The humorous scene ended with him playfully swinging the log at his nephew Sri Simha Koduri, who asked the question, causing him to flee. This light-hearted moment left fans both laughing and more curious about the film.

Mathu Vadalara 2, the film featured in the promo, is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 crime-comedy Mathu Vadalara.
Directed by Ritesh Rana, who also helmed the original, the film stars Sri Simha Koduri and Satya in lead roles. Set to hit theatres on 13 September 2024, the sequel promises another chaotic and humorous adventure.

Rumours initially suggested the film might be connected to Rajamouli’s mysterious “Garuda project”, but recent reports have debunked this. Instead, it’s speculated that SSMB29 will be a jungle adventure film, raising anticipation even further.
So far, Mahesh Babu is the only confirmed cast member, but there’s buzz that Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran might also join the project.
