There has been considerable speculation surrounding director Subhash Ghai’s return to the film industry and the possibility of him making a sequel to his 1993 movie Khal Nayak. However, it turns out that these rumors are false, disappointing fans who were hoping for a revival of Madhuri Dixit’s iconic song Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai.
According to Jackie Shroff, who portrayed the character of a principled police officer named Ram Kumar in Khal Nayak, he is not aware of any plans for a sequel after such a long time. He jokingly dismissed the idea, suggesting that a sequel to Khal Nayak is unlikely.
During a recent conversation, Jackie Shroff confirmed that his character, Ram Kumar, in the film Khal Nayak was inspired by the character of Rama from the epic Ramayan, while Sanjay Dutt portrayed a variation of the character Ravana. Jackie expressed that the Ramayan holds great significance in Indian cinema, with approximately fifty percent of our movies being based on this beloved story.
