Sunny Deol took to his Instagram stories and shared a great video from the Dehradun sets, which included the beautiful sunset scene with the backdrop of crazy weather. His post caption included, “Reached Border, shooting wild weather and beautiful sunset in Dehradun,” and the clip showed the actor soaking up nature’s beauty, where we could hear him joyfully exclaiming, “So…so…so…beautiful.”
Clearly, even with a busy shooting schedule, Sunny is definitely soaking in the peace and magic of the Dehradun landscape.
Border 2: Bigger Cast, Bigger Emotions
Border 2 will not only rely on nostalgia — it will have some new life as well. In addition to Sunny Deol, he is joined on screen by a great supporting cast including Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh. They will undoubtedly inject a new energy into this contemporary war-based epic.
Earlier in February, the producers teased fans by dropping a behind-the-scenes look at the film’s shoot in Jhansi. That short glimpse already had fans buzzing with excitement, and now with updates regarding his shoot in Dehradun factoring into the excitement, Border 2 anticipations have officially risen to an all-time high.
What To Expect From Sunny Deol’s Border 2
Border 2 is being produced under Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series production banner and will preserve the same patriotism of the original 1997 JP Dutta film while enhancing the tech scale using modern filming techniques. Plot details remain concealed; however, sources suggest the film will similarly salute the courage of Indian soldiers again, but this time on a larger scale with more action, emotional depth, and contemporary sensibility.
Given the blockbuster success of Gadar 2, trade experts believe Border 2 — if it connects with the right emotions — could be one of the biggest box office phenomena of 2025.
