Akshay Kumar’s Cuttputlli Salary Accounts For 80% of the Film’s Budget? Details Inside!
Cuttputlli, which was released on September 2, starring Akshay Kumar, has received interesting reviews as it involves thriller and mystery. It is directed by Ranjit Tiwari and produced by Pooja Entertainment.
There is a belief that movies with small budgets are taken up on OTT platforms. However, Cuttputlli has broken this false notion. According to media reports, it has been made with 150 crore, and is streaming on Disney + Hotstar.
Now, reports suggest that Akshay Kumar charged 120 crores for working on it. In comparison to the film’s budget, Akshay’s salary is 80% of it, making it quite astonishing.
Meanwhile, in the film, Akshay’s wall had more than 500 clippings of real stories and their criminals from actual newspapers. “We just dressed up the entire wall with newspaper cuttings and photographers of real people, so that he (Akshay) gets a feel to it while shooting, that he has lived this life, that he has been part of this life,” IANS quoted Tewari as saying.
Akshay was last seen in Raksha Bandhan which didn’t perform well at box office recently. However, this movie starring him has hopes attached that it will do well on digital as seen from reactions of moviegoers.
