Rhea Chakraborty finally spoke with AajTak today in an interview wherein she was asked about all the allegations that she has been blamed for.
When she was asked about the media trial, Rhea Chakraborty said that, “This is clearly a witch hunt. Without any proof, people have begun questioning me and targeting me where they have declared me as the criminal. This is what I’m getting for being in love with him, we’re just two innocent people who are in love with each other”.
She was then asked about her relationship aith Mahesh Bhatt and how her chat with the director was leaked. Rhea said, “Kya main kisise salha bhi nahi le sakti? Main toot chuki thi. I was obviously upset that Sushant didn’t stop me from leaving, he didn’t call me back, I wondered if he wanted me to go because I was ill. Is it all over for him? So yes I was upset, I reached out to Bhattsahab but that’s only because I felt broken. He told me to think of my father. Bhattsahab calls me child, messages mein bhi hai. His daughter is my age. That pure relationship has been misconstrued into something like this?”
In the interview, Rhea Chakraborty also revealed that Sushant‘s relationship with his dad weren’t very good. She said, “As per what Sushant had told me, his relations with his father were not good since childhood. Sushant’s father had left their family and he loved his mother too much. Sushant did not meet his father for 5 years and his relationship wasn’t that great.” She further elaborated that, “Sushant was very close to his mother and she was also a patient of depression. I think that is one of the reasons why she passed away.”
When asked about the ongoing drug allegations, Rhea said, “Only this was left to accuse me of. I will tell you, just get a gun my family will stand in line just shoot us all. Or else we will die by suicide then who will take responsibility. I deny all allegations, absolutely baseless. I cannot go into details as it will affect my investigation.”
The WhatsApp chats of the actress with Hotelier Gaurav Arya discussing MDMA drugs in 2017 were also doing the rounds on the internet. When asked about the same, she said, “I have never taken any drugs. I am willing to do a drug test. I do know him (gaurav Arya), but I deny the contents of the conversation. “
Not just this, she was also asked about her chat with Jaya in 2019, where they spoke about adding CBD drugs in chai. To this Rhea said, “I did not want to put it in his tea. Sushant asked Jaya for alternate therapy and my phone was coordinated. He did it himself. I do not know.”
In another chat with Samuel Miranda, Rhea received a message saying the stock is over. Talking about it, Rhea Chakraborty said, “It is unfortunate that after someone’s death we have to exploit someone’s vices in such a manner. Sushant used to smoke marijuana. He was quite regularly. He started before the shooting of Kedarnath. I tried to control him in this department. I was trying to cut him down on it. He was a grown man who chose to do it. I tried to stop him and told him to reduce it. He did exactly what he wanted to do.”
