And that is what is happening here in the form of Tamannaah Bhatia officially stepping in with Sidharth Malhotra in an upcoming high-octane thriller VVAN, produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms.

VVAN: An Action-Packed Ride Loosely Based On Characters
The film, titled VVAN, is being directed by Rohit Shetty’s former associate Milind Rau (best known for The House Next Door and Netrikann).
Based on the information available, the film is described as “a combination of sharp military action and an emotional arc”, and Sidharth is playing a multi-layered character working in an undercover ops unit.
Tamannaah Bhatia is expected to play an intense, emotionally-charged role, with insiders stating the role is
“central to the story, and, significantly, unlike anything she’s done of late.”
The actress is on a career high with Jailer, Lust Stories 2, and Aakhri Sach all performing well and well-received—VVAN will be yet another big-screen opportunity for her.
Shooting and What’s Next
The film is slated to begin production in June 2025, with a theatrical release planned for 2026.
The casting of Tamannaah opposite Sidharth will also be a new pairing, which has already piqued interest in trade and fan circles alike. VVAN is being planned with a big marketing campaign ahead of filming, and first looks could come out by late July, if sources are correct.
