The list of new faces launched by filmmaker Aditya Chopra runs long — from Anushka Sharma to Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra. Now, the producer has bet on Ahaan Panday, actor Ananya Panday’s cousin. The teaser of his debut film, Saiyaara, helmed by Mohit Suri, will be unveiled on May 30.
The producer has planned an aggressive six-week marketing strategy in the run-up to the romantic drama’s release on July 18 as he wants to position Ahaan and leading lady Aneet Padda of Big Girls Don’t Cry (2024) fame as Gen Z icons.
A source says, “Aditya sir wants to launch Ahaan and Aneet as the new faces to watch out for, as he believes in their talent. He has planned on-campus events across colleges in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Chandigarh. A special online series will take social media users through behind-the-scenes content, giving them a glimpse into the lead actors’ journey and their on-screen chemistry.”
Ahaan Panday Starrer Mohit Suri Film Titled Saiyaara
Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learnt that the film has been titled Saiyaara. The makers felt that this name perfectly matches the film’s themes of love and heartbreak.
The title Saiyaara holds a special place for Bollywood fans. It shares its name with the emotional song from Ek Tha Tiger (2012), featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. The song’s deep themes of love and longing match the film’s storyline. While the title adds nostalgia, the film itself will bring a fresh and modern romance.
YRF has been grooming Ahaan Panday for years to prepare him for a star-studded debut. The production house is known for launching new faces, and Ahaan’s entry is being called one of the biggest in recent years. Mohit Suri, famous for films like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, is directing the project. He has praised Ahaan’s potential and screen presence.
A Huge Music Festival Sequence Was Shot Recently
Earlier this month, Reports revealed that Mohit Suri was shooting a massive music festival scene, which is one of the film’s biggest highlights. The sequence was shot at Vrundavan Studios in Malad, featuring over 1,000 background artists. In the scene, Ahaan’s character performs live on stage, electrifying the crowd. At one point, he jumps off the stage and interacts with the audience.
This sequence is said to be one of the final moments in the movie and marks a crucial point in the protagonist’s journey. The film’s shoot has wrapped up, but the makers have not yet announced the release date.
