The song “Bareilly Ke Bazaar Mein” from the movie has become a popular tune and is still enjoyed by many. Iconic cult song Jhumka Gira Re Bareilly Ke Bazaar Mein from Mera Saaya featuring Saadhna was rage for decades.
With the upcoming release of Chatrapathi and its super entertaining track Bareilly Ke Bazaar, the city is sure to gain even more attention and recognition.
About Film Chatrapathi:
Chatrapathi is a 2005 Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by S. S. Rajamouli and produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad. The film stars Prabhas and Shriya Saran, with supporting roles played by Shafi, Bhanupriya, and Pradeep Rawat. The story follows Shivaji, who is uprooted from his community in Sri Lanka and becomes a bonded laborer in Vizag. He eventually rises up against the injustices he faces and becomes Chatrapathi, filling in the legend of the original Chatrapati who rose up and fought for his people. The film was a commercial success, collecting an estimated distributors’ share of ₹22 crore ($5 million) against a budget of ₹12.5 crore ($2.8 million).
