The makers of Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film, “Sam Bahadur,” revealed on Thursday that the movie will debut in theatres on December 1, 2023. The movie, which is made by RSVP Movies, stars Vicky Kaushal as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. In the film, Fatima Sana Shaikh plays former prime minister Indira Gandhi, while Sanya Malhotra plays Manekshaw’s wife Silloo.
Vicky is seen as Manekshaw in an announcement video strolling with his back to the camera as his soldiers move aside to make room for him. The life and times of Manekshaw, one of India’s greatest combat heroes, are the basis for the film “Sam Bahadur.” Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, is one of the most eagerly awaited movies to hit theatres in 2019. “365 days to go? #SamBahadur in cinemas 1.12.2023,” the post’s description was posted on the producing company’s official Twitter account.
The movie, which is Meghna and Vicky’s second collaboration following 2018’s “Raazi,” began production in August 2022. Notably, following “Dangal” and “Ludo,” Sanya and Fatima will be starring together onscreen for the third time. In addition to “sam Bahadur,” Vicky will next be featured in “Govinda Naam Mera,” which will debut on Disney+ Hotstar on December 16.
