Thalapathy Vijay shocked all his fans after he announced that Jana Nayagan will be his final film and that he will not star in any other film. Soon, Vijay announced that he would be entering politics, and now the actor has opened up about how he looks up to Shah Rukh Khan as he enters this new phase in his life.

Vijay Lauds Shah Rukh Khan’s Oratory Skills

While talking to the Editor-in-Chief of NDTV, Rahul Kanwal, Vijay spoke about entering politics off camera. Mentioning what Vijay feels, Kanwal shared, “Vijay says, ‘I look up to Shah Rukh Khan; he speaks so well. His articulation, his elocution is very high. I used to see him, and I used to think, look at how well-spoken this guy is.’ He also spoke of how MGR and Jayalalithaa have been role models for him, along with Karunanidhi. He’s looked to them as stars, as models of what they were able to achieve.”

Vijay Regret Release Row Over Jana Nayagan

In an interaction with NDTV, Vijay said he feels genuinely sorry for his producer, as Jana Nayagan has been adversely impacted by his decision to enter politics. He stated that he had anticipated the obstacles after his political entry and was mentally prepared for it, but the hardship faced by his producer pains him. This was Vijay’s first direct interaction with a national media platform, which he viewed as a “mock interview,” adding that while some may feel he spoke less, he believes he continues to communicate with the public through his speeches and will engage with the media more openly at the right time.
