In an unprecedented marketing and publicity move, Netflix’s The Archies recently took flight, quite literally, offering fans and influencers an unforgettable journey from Delhi to Riverdale. The special flight, UK 1964, marked a unique collaboration between Netflix and Vistara, transforming the entire travel experience into a nostalgic Archies and 1960s-themed extravaganza.
Departing from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on November 24, the flight landed at Manohar International Airport in Goa, immersing passengers in the world of The Archies. The flight featured retro décor, meals, and beverages inspired by Pop Tate’s, a popular setting in the film. The innovative collaboration extended to customised Netflix & Vistara giveaways, ensuring that passengers had a truly immersive and entertaining experience.
The cast of The Archies and filmmakers joined passengers on the flight, creating an interactive atmosphere. Passengers had the unique opportunity to engage with the film’s stars and creators, receiving personalized interactions and expressions of gratitude for being part of this groundbreaking experience.
To elevate the celebratory ambiance, the cast of the film surprised passengers with a flash mob performance on the song ‘Sunoh’ at the specially created Riverdale Pop Up within the airport. This flash mob added an extra layer of excitement and entertainment, making the event more than just a flight but an immersive journey into the magic of Riverdale.
