
Kabir Khan’s The Forgotten Army- Azadi Ke Liye was released recently. The most surprising part of the web series was to listen Shah Rukh khan’s voice as the narrator.
Recently, Kabir Khan revealed that since the series is based on a true story, they have added real footage at the beginning of each episode. Shah Rukh Khan has voiced the introduction for all the episodes.
For people who don’t know, SRK and Kabir Khan have known each other from their college days at Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi. SRK was Kabir’ senior.
Back in 1999, Kabir Khan had made a documentary titled The Forgotten Army. Since then, Kabir Khan has been trying to make a project around the topic.
Kabir Khan revealed that he wished to make the movie with King Khan but it never went ahead. Kabir Khan said that something in him urged him to reach out to the actor while shooting for the web show. Shah Rukh Khan agreed and started recording within two days. Kabir admits that while this was the easiest part of shooting the show, the tough part was actually shooting the series on location which included the scenes in jungles, rivers, war-torn land, and doing action scenes there.
