At a time when Hindi cinema is chasing darker action, louder spectacle and violence-led big-screen grammar, Zee Studios is moving in a noticeably different direction. With Jackie Shroff fronting The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman, the studio is built around a film for children, parents and grandparents to watch together in theatres.
The film arrives in cinemas on May 29, 2026, just days after its trailer began positioning it as a warm, family-oriented superhero adventure. Rather than building its hero around rage or invincibility, the film places a grandfather at the centre of a child’s imagination, turning generational affection into the emotional engine of the story.
Zee Studios Pushes A Family First Superhero Film
The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman is presented by Zee Studios in association with Amdavad Films. Written and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Manish Saini, the Hindi film stars Jackie Shroff, Prateik Smita Patil, Bhagyashree Dasani, Sharat Saxena, Mihir Godbole, Durgesh Kumar, Saharsh Shukla, Shivansh Chorge and Kumar Saurabh.
The premise follows a young boy whose belief in his grandfather transforms ordinary family life into a superhero fantasy. The arrival of aliens gives the story its adventure hook, but the emotional centre remains the bond between a child and his grandparent.
Jackie Shroff has leaned into that feeling while speaking about the film. In the makers’ communication, he said, “With ‘The Great Grand Superhero,’ we’re fulfilling every child’s dream. Kids’ dreams should always come first.” Speaking about what makes someone heroic, he added, “If your spirit stays young and your spine stays strong till 90, that itself makes you a superhero.”
Why The Great Grand Superhero Stands Apart
The film’s positioning is significant because theatrical family viewing has become less frequent in mainstream Hindi cinema, especially as many big releases lean towards adult-skewing intensity or franchise spectacle. The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman is consciously built around accessibility, nostalgia and innocence.
That gives Zee Studios a clear differentiator. The film is not rejecting scale, but it is redirecting scale through a child’s gaze. Its alien adventure, superhero fantasy and grandfather-grandchild emotion combine into a format that is positioned to appeal to younger viewers while giving older audiences a familiar, sentimental entry point.
Jackie Shroff’s Recent And Upcoming Work

In 2025, his filmography included Housefull 5, Tanvi the Great, They Call Him OG and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
