The Sabarmati Report is nearing its release, and it’s safe to say that everyone is excited to witness this hard-hitting tale, which promises to reveal hidden facets of one of the most devastating incidents in India’s history.
The trailer has shown that the film will focus on the 2002 Godhra train burning incident and hints at Pakistan’s possible involvement in the Godhra riots.
According to an industry source, “The Sabarmati Report makes a reference insenuitaitng that Pakistan had a role to play in the Godhra riots. The film consists of scenes that gives reference to the same. The film is strictly based on facts and will reveal realities or unheard truths that have never been made public about the Godhra riots.”
Vikrant Massey’s Comment On Indian Independence Draws Reactions
On the Top Angle with Sushant Sinha podcast, Vikrant spoke about India’s independence, calling it “so-called azaadi.”
He explained, “We need to understand that we are a very young nation. We were invaded by the French, Dutch, Mughals, and finally the British. After centuries of oppression, we got so-called freedom. But was it really freedom?”
Vikrant further discussed the lasting effects of colonial rule on India, adding, “I feel the Hindus today have finally reached a position where they are demanding their own identity.”
This statement quickly stirred up online backlash, with some accusing him of trying to stir controversy to draw attention to the film. Vikrant, however, stood by his remarks, clarifying that he intended to encourage people to reflect rather than to offend anyone.
