Sriram Raghavan’s project Merry Christmas is expected to unite Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi together for the first time onscreen. While Katrina was said to have begun the reading sessions in June of this year, the film seems to have been postponed. The film set that was created in Mumbai’s Film City has already been demolished, according to sources.
Merry Christmas is a suspense thriller produced by Ramesh Taurani under his banner Tips. The film’s producers have yet to set a new release date. The film is believed to be a straight 90-minutes duration, with a 30-day shooting schedule.
The film was supposed to hit theatres on April 15th of this year. The film’s shoot had to be postponed due to the second wave of the pandemic with the lead actress testing positive for COVID-19. Katrina Kaif recently returned to Mumbai following a busy schedule filming Tiger 3 with Salman Khan. However, it is unclear why the filmmakers opted to tear down the set and postpone the film’s production.
