Tiger 3, the upcoming action thriller starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, has been generating a lot of buzz among the fans ever since the teaser, trailer and promotional videos of the film were released. The film, which is a sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, is set to hit the theatres on November 12, coinciding with Diwali.
Emraan Hashmi to play Tiger Shroff’s father?
While the fans are eagerly waiting to watch the high-octane action sequences and the face-off between Khan and Hashmi, who play rival spy agents, some of them have also come up with interesting theories about the plot of the film. One of the most popular fan-made theories is that Hashmi’s character Aatish Rehman, who is the main antagonist of the film, is actually the father of Tiger Shroff‘s character Khalid from War (2019), another film in the YRF Spy Universe.
War, which was released in 2019 and starred Shroff and Hrithik Roshan, saw Shroff’s character being killed towards the climax. However, some fans believe that he might be alive and his father might be Aatish, who is seeking revenge from Khan’s character Tiger and his family. One of the X (formerly Twitter) users wrote, “Aatish Rehman (#EmraanHashmi) as Khalid’s father (#TigerShroff) in #YRFSpyUniverse!?”
The theory is based on the assumption that Aatish and Khalid share the same surname Rehman and that Aatish might have lost his son in a mission gone wrong. The trailer of Tiger 3 shows Aatish as a ruthless villain who wants to destroy Tiger and his family like he lost his. He also says, “I know you, Tiger. You are the last man standing to save your country above all.” This could imply that he has a personal grudge against Tiger and knows his past.
However, there is no official confirmation or hint from the makers of the film about this theory.

Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The film also features Revathi, Riddhi Dogra, Vishal Jethwa, Kumud Mishra, Ranvir Shorey and Sartaaj Kakkar in supporting roles. The film has been shot in various locations including Delhi, Mumbai, Turkey, Russia and Austria.
The film will also have cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, who will reprise their roles as Pathaan and Major Kabir Dhaliwal from Pathaan (2023) and War (2019) respectively. The soundtrack of the film is composed by Pritam while the background score is composed by Tanuj Tiku. The film is made at an estimated budget of ₹300 crore, making it the most expensive project of Yash Raj Films.

Next up after Tiger 3 is the Ayan Mukerji-directed War 2, which marks the return of Hrithik Roshan as Kabir in a full-fledged role. The film pits him off against the young tiger, NTR Jr., with Kiara Advani as the female lead. The shooting for this epic action begins soon. Next will be Tiger Vs Pathaan starting Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan.
