The rumour barely had time to settle before Vijay Krishna Acharya knocked it down. As speculation swirled around a supposed new film with Tiger Shroff, the filmmaker issued a blunt clarification on April 19, calling the reports “incorrect” and dismissing the entire story as conjecture.

The claim had quickly gained traction after reports suggested Tiger would lead a new action entertainer directed by Acharya, with Vinod Bhanushali and Tony D’Souza linked as producers. The same reports said the film would begin shooting in August 2026 and target a 2027 theatrical release. Acharya has now categorically denied that such a project is in development.
“I’ve been busy travelling and I saw these stories too. It’s conjecture and the news is incorrect. I find these reports very strange because they are not true,” the filmmaker said.
The statement leaves little room for interpretation and draws a firm line under the speculation. It also resets attention on what is actually confirmed in Tiger’s current lineup. The actor is presently shooting for filmmaker Sachin Ravi’s next Hindi feature, an untitled project produced by Murad Khetani that marks Ravi’s Hindi directorial debut.
Tiger Shroff’s Action Slate Keeps Moving
Tiger’s recent screen run has stayed closely tied to the high-impact action image that first defined his stardom. In 2023, he led Ganapath, a dystopian action drama that positioned him in a futuristic spectacle. He followed that with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2024, sharing the frame with Akshay Kumar in a large-scale commercial action film. Later the same year, he appeared in Singham Again, stepping into Rohit Shetty’s cop universe and adding another franchise title to his filmography. Taken together, those releases show an actor still firmly invested in mounted action cinema, even as he searches for his next big reset. His last release Baaghi 4 failed to meet expectations at box office.
That next phase is already taking shape. Lag Jaa Gale starring Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya remains a confirmed theatrical project and is one of the key titles in Tiger’s upcoming lineup. His untitled film with Sachin Ravi is also moving ahead, giving him another opportunity to channel the physicality and screen presence that continue to define his career choices. For Acharya, meanwhile, the latest development is not a new launch but a public clarification, one that decisively closes the loop on a collaboration that had briefly captured attention.
