Film was much awaited release mounted on massive budget. Yash gained stardom all over after Pan India success of KGF 2. But Toxic failed miserably after huge day one due to poor reviews and mixed word of mouth. Film is heading for under 150 crore nett Hindi lifetime and under 325 crore worldwide gross.
That scale is exactly why Gautam’s verdict has hit such a nerve. When a young film buff from one of Telugu cinema’s most high-profile families gives a marquee release the lowest possible score, it naturally becomes bigger than a casual review.
