A thread circulating on Reddit shared a “synopsis” that describes Yash’s character Raya as being pushed into a “sham marriage” with Advani’s character Nadia, framing it within a violent power play set in “old-world Goa.” The same post also sparked debate in the comments section, with some users arguing the write-up looks like a fan edit, and others insisting the premise feels aligned with the film’s dark, stylised pitch.
What is confirmed, however, is that Yash will be seen in a double role in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
The film’s release has also been officially rescheduled. In a statement shared by Yash, he said: “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is a film we conceptualized with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world.” Explaining the delay, the statement added, “the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience.” The note concluded by confirming that the film will release worldwide on June 4, 2026, in English and Indian languages.
KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations are backing the project, which has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and is positioned as a multilingual theatrical release.
