Yash Raj Films has released the trailer for its upcoming family drama, ‘The Great Indian Family,’ starring Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chillar. The film is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Yash Raj Films and is set to hit theaters on September 22, 2023.
Director Vijay Krishna Acharya has previously helmed films like ‘Tashan’, ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘Thugs of Hindostan’. Meanwhile, Vicky was recently seen in the family entertainer film ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ opposite Sara Ali Khan. Helmed by Laxman Utekar, the film received a lot of appreciation from the audience and was decreed a box-office hit.

The trailer of ‘The Great Indian Family’ promises to be a fun and entertaining family film. Bhajan is a famous devotional singer who has difficulty finding love due to his profession. The family receives an anonymous letter one day stating that Bhajan is actually from a Muslim family. The Tripathi household is thrown into chaos and madness, and the rest of the film’s narrative follows the family’s struggle to come to terms with this new reality.
The film has a power-packed ensemble featuring highly acclaimed actors like Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, Ashutosh Ujjwal, and Bharti Perwani.

Vicky Kaushal plays the role of a local singing star by the name of Bhajan Kumar in The Great Indian Family. As a part of a unique promotional campaign, Yash Raj Films introduced Vicky Kaushal as the next big singing superstar, “Bhajan Kumar”, in a grand event in Mumbai. They also launched the first song of the film called “Kanhaiya Twitter Pe Aaja” which marks Vicky’s big entry in the film. The song is composed by Pritam and sung by Nakash Aziz. It is a catchy and humorous track that pokes fun at the social media obsession of today’s generation.
Recently, the actor had also celebrated Janmashtami with his fans to promote the film and climbed the human pyramid to break the pot of curd.
