Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur’s film Son Of Sardaar 2 will lock horns with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s Dhadak 2 at the box office this week. Both Son Of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2, sequels of successful predecessors, will release in theatres on August 1. Now, ahead of the film’s release, Mrunal Thakur took to her Instagram stories to cheer for Dhadak 2.
Mrunal shared a poster of Triptii and Siddhant’s film and expressed her excitement for the release of both films. In response, Triptii sent heartfelt wishes to Mrunal and extended her best to the Son of Sardaar 2 team, hoping that both films receive all the love they deserve. Both actresses showed great sportsmanship ahead of the box office clash of their films!
On Tuesday, Mrunal Thakur took to her Instagram stories and wrote, “It’s RELEASE WEEK and the excitement is real!! Such an incredible moment for #TeamSOS2 and #TeamDhadak2 just 4 days to go and I can hardly contain it! Massive congratulations and all the best to Siddhant Chaturvedi, Triptii Dimri and the entire Dhadak 2 team. Here’s to 2 beautiful releases and all the love coming our way.” Reacting to this, Triptii wrote, “Wishing you and the team all the best for the release! Here’s to both our films finding all the love they deserve.”
While Son Of Sardaar 2 was initially scheduled for release on July 25, the makers postponed the film less than a week before it was to hit the screens. They announced that the film has been pushed ahead by a week due to blockbuster storm of Saiyaara, and will now release on August 1.
Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son Of Sardaar 2 boasts a power-packed cast including Ajay Devgn, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev.
Meanwhile, Dhadak 2, starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, is directed by Shazia Iqbal. The romantic drama film is a spiritual sequel to Dhadak and a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal.
