About Ulajh
The story of this film (Janhvi) revolves around a young diplomat from a distinguished family of patriots who embarks on a critical international assignment. She soon finds herself entangled in a perilous conspiracy that threatens her personal safety and professional future.
As she navigates this dangerous landscape, she must confront serious challenges far from the support of her homeland.
The teaser showcased Janhvi as Suhana, capturing moments on her phone, scrutinising confidential documents, and covertly breaking into a government building. The tension peaks with a gunshot, followed by an ominous fade to black. In a powerful moment, Suhana declares that betrayal is a matter of life and death, emphasising the dire need to either neutralise threats or face elimination to protect the country.
What Janhvi Kapoor Said About Her Character In Ulajh
Expressing her excitement about the film, Janhvi said, “When I was approached with the script of Ulajh, it instantly attracted me because as an actor, I am constantly looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone, and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that. Just as the name of the film suggests, my character and the story have so many layers, emotions, and parameters, which are challenging and exciting at the same time. I am thrilled for the audience to see me in this new role envisioned by Sudhanshu, who has such a fresh approach towards dealing with this genre. I am also looking forward to working with such talented co-actors and a development studio like Junglee Pictures for the first time.”
Ulajh is written by Parveez Shaikh and Sudhanshu Saria, with dialogues by Atika Chauhan. The patriotic thriller is directed by Sudhanshu Saria and produced by Junglee Pictures.
