A few days ago Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, Nimrat Kaur starrer Dasvi was released. The film received mixed response from the critics and audience. Later, Yami called out an entertainment portal for writing in their review and defining her character. They wrote, ‘(Yami) is no longer the dead girlfriend in Hindi films, but the combative smile is getting repetitive’.

Later, when John Abraham’s film Attack was released in theatres, he did not take the negative reviews in a good way either.

Now, today, Varun Tej has turned to Twitter to post a sentimental note after his sports drama, Ghani, received a bad response from the audience. Even though the film received negative reviews, the actor did not bash the critics but accepted the failure of his film gracefully.

He wrote, “I feel extremely humbled by all the love and affection you have showered upon me all these years. I thank each and everyone who was involved in the making of ‘GHANI’. You’ve put your heart and soul and I’m really thankful for that, especially to my Producers. We worked with real passion and hard work to deliver a good film to you, and somehow ideation didn’t translate as we thought it would. Every time I work on a film, my sole purpose is to entertain you. Sometimes I succeed & sometimes I learn, but I will never stop working hard.”

Ghani was released in theatres on April 8th, and it received mixed reviews for its director and storyline. Varun Tej plays the title character, with other roles played by Saiee Manjrekar, Jagapathi Babu, Upendra, Suniel Shetty, and Naveen Chandra.

This sports film was directed by Kiran Korrapati and produced by Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company.
