It was previously reported that Vaani Kapoor would appear in Mardaani 2 director Gopi Puthran’s untitled follow-up. According to reports, the film in question would actually be a suspenseful criminal thriller, which Vaani Kapoor is pretty much excited about. Reportedly Vaani is all set to start working on the project.
A reliable source told Bollywood Hungama, “Vaani Kapoor was pretty excited about Gopi’s venture. When she heard the tale and script, she leaped at the opportunity. She has actually been doing preparation work for the unnamed project. Speaking further about the shoot, the source continues, “Vaani will start the project’s shoot in Lucknow this March. Pre-production work is currently in progress.” However, the project and cast have not yet received an official announcement. A formal announcement of the project from Yash Raj Films is currently anticipated.
Vaani Kapoor recently appeared in the 2022 film Shamshera starring Ranbir Kapoor. Whereas Gopi Puthran’s most recent film was Mardaani 2, which was released in 2019.
