Varun Dhawan’s Knuckle Push-Up Challenge on Border 2 Set Wins Hearts
The war epic Border 2 is turning into a great tribute to patriotism and perseverance. However, the set recently turned into a battlefield of another sort. During the latest schedule of the film at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune, actor Varun Dhawan shocked everyone by attempting a 50 knuckle push-up challenge alongside real-life Indian Army cadets.
In a behind-the-scenes reel shared by Varun himself on Instagram, what began as a fun 20 push-up challenge culminated in a full set of 50 knuckle push-ups—performed accurately and with a smile. Varun was surrounded by about 30–40 cadets, and the cadets’ cheers after he finished simply highlighted Varun’s deep respect for the armed forces.
The video has gone viral across fan pages. Fans are praising Varun’s fitness, humility, and spirit—his ability to match the cadets push-up for push-up encapsulated the spirit of the film he is working on.
NDA Pune Schedule is Underway for Border 2
The Pune schedule of Border 2 is an important leg of the film’s shoot. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in a cast capable of carrying the mantle of JP Dutta’s Border (1997).
When Varun shares his moments with the unit, it isn’t just for Instagram. Unit sources tell us Varun has been “really engaged on set” and actually spends time with cadets and with locals during breaks, clearly absorbing the patriotism of the film.
