Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are two of the upcoming stars in Bollywood. Both of them have proven their acting range by giving incredible performances in all kinds of films. They will be working together for the first time in Nitesh Tiwari‘s Bawaal. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and was earlier scheduled to release on July 27 on Amazon Prime Video.
But recent media reports suggest that the makers have preponed the film’s release date to July 21. This is because Varun Dhawan and the makers felt that the film might be impacted because of Karan Johar‘s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, which will release on 28 July. Even though the romantic drama will release in the cinemas, Varun felt it won’t be appropriate to release his film just a day after his mentor’s film hit the theatres.
The core team realized the point in Varun’s argument and decided to change its release date. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi and it marks Kjo’s return as a director after nearly seven years.

Bawaal was initially meant for a theatrical release, but the makers changed the plans for unknown reasons. Its promotions will kickstart in the first week of July. Apart from this, Varun is set to make his web series debut with the Indian adaptation of Citadel. He will also star in Bhediya 2 and in Call Me Bae along with Ananya Panday. Janhvi, on the other hand, has films like Mr. & Mrs. Mahi (with Rajkummar Rao), Ulajh, and the Telugu film Devara in her kitty.
