The Citadel universe, created by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO in collaboration with David Weil, saw its first series launch with Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles. The highly anticipated show premiered in April 2023 and recently concluded its first season on May 26. Alongside this, AGBO is also working on producing additional Citadel series in different languages. Among them is an Italian Original series titled Citadel: Diana, featuring Matilda De Angelis. Furthermore, an Indian series is in the pipeline, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Varun Dhawan, known for his role in Badlapur and Bhediya, assures fans of never-before-seen action, and he is actively preparing for the international shoot that lies ahead.

For those who are unaware with the details, Varun Dhawan made his international debut with a brief appearance in Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden’s Citadel series. In the fifth episode, an intriguing revelation occurs as it is unveiled that Priyanka’s character, Nadia Sinh, shares a secret child with Richard’s character, Mason Kane. This revelation is set in motion during a flashback scene from eight years ago, where Nadia contacts a terrorist named Rahi Gambhir in an effort to escape to Spain after discovering her pregnancy. When confronted by Mason and Carter Spence’s character, Osy Ikhile, regarding her communication with Gambhir, Nadia unveils an astonishing truth – Gambhir is her actual father. Portrayed by Paul Bazely, Gambhir aids Nadia’s escape from Citadel, facilitating her relocation to Spain. What adds an intriguing twist to this episode is that the phone call made by Nadia is dubbed by none other than Varun Dhawan himself. The confirmation of Dhawan’s cameo arrives during the end credits, where he is duly acknowledged and appreciated.
