The much-anticipated sequel to the iconic 1997 film Border is finally gearing up for production. Fans of the original blockbuster were excited when the announcement of Border 2 came on June 13, 2024, during the 27th anniversary of the first film.
The sequel, which is expected to be one of India’s biggest war dramas, promises to bring more action, patriotism, and gripping storytelling to the big screen.
The Border 2 cast has been officially revealed, and it includes big names like Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Each actor will take on powerful roles that promise to keep audiences at the edge of their seats.
Varun Dhawan Spotted In New Look For Border 2
Varun Dhawan was snapped at the Mumbai airport today, sporting a brand-new bearded look that has set social media abuzz. The actor was seen in a rugged avatar for his upcoming film Border 2. The video went viral quickly, and fans were seen reacting to it. The highly-anticipated sequel also has a star-studded lineup including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.
In the video, shared by Viral Bhayani, we can see Varun Dhawan walking towards the airport gate. He has opted for a leather jacket paired with a white t-shirt and denim. He also smiled at the paps and wished them a hello. As soon as paparazzi videos surfaced online, fans flooded social media with comments. One of the fans wrote, “Perfect airport look.” Another wrote, “Amazing vd”.

Border 2 Shooting Begins Next Week
Box Office Worldwide reported some exclusive updates on the shooting schedule few days back.
We have learnt that the filming for Border 2 is set to begin next week in Kashmir. As per our sources, the first scenes to be shot will feature Varun Dhawan in his role as an army man. His character promises to bring intense action and emotional depth to the film.
Diljit Dosanjh will be stepping into the shoes of an Air Force pilot & add a high-flying element to the war drama. The actor is expected to begin filming at the end of February. Meanwhile, Ahan Shetty will portray a Navy officer, with his underwater sequences scheduled for the same time.
As the production progresses, Diljit will be shooting aircraft scenes in Mumbai around April and May. In addition, some of the action-packed sequences will take place in Jhansi, UP. These diverse locations are expected to add depth and variety to the film’s visuals. The team aims to complete the filming by April 10, 2025, as they race towards the grand finale of the film.
