Vicky Kaushal And Tripti Dhimri Starrer Titled Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam After Song Of Shah Rukh Khan’s Duplicate Produced by Dharma Productions

Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk are set to star in Karan Johar‘s upcoming film titled Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, directed by Anand Tiwari. The movie is set to release on August 25, 2023. Karan Johar announced the film on social media, calling the trio “powerhouses of talent” and expressing his excitement for the project.

Ammy Virk, on the other hand, was last seen in Kabir Khan’s 2021 sports drama “83”[1]. The title of the film, Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, is reminiscent of the classic Bollywood song of the same name from the 1998 film Shah Rukh Khan starrer Duplicate. That film was also produced by Dharma Productions. Song was written by Javed Akhtar, composed by Jatin Lalit and sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. While there is no information yet on the plot of the film, the star-studded cast and the talented director have already generated a lot of buzz and anticipation among fans.

Vicky Kaushal, who has won critical acclaim for his performances in films like Masaan, Raazi, and Uri: The Surgical Strike, is one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood today. Tripti Dimri, who made her debut with the 2017 film Poster Boys, has been praised for her performances in films like Bulbbul and Qala. Ammy Virk, a popular Punjabi singer and actor, has also made a name for himself in Bollywood with his performances in films like Bhuj: The Pride of India and 83.

The film is on track for a theatrical release on August 25 and the assets will start rolling by the second half of July. Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam is touted to be a romantic comedy with a quirky plot around the characters. It has an interesting ensemble cast in place too. The film is currently in the post production stage and the edit is expected to be locked soon.

Vicky Kaushal’s Lukka Chuppi 2 Trailer To Be Out On Monday 15th May

Vicky meanwhile is gearing up for his next with Dinesh Vijan which has been tentatively titled Lukka Chuppi 2. The Laxman Uttekar directorial pairs him alongside Sara Ali Khan for the first time. The film is gearing up for a June 2 release and the makers are set to launch the trailer on May 15.
