Sanjay Leela Bhansali has unveiled Vicky Kaushal’s first look from Love & War, and the new poster is built entirely around the actor’s fierce, unblinking screen presence. In the image, Vicky is seen lighting a cigarette while staring straight into the camera, giving the film’s latest reveal a brooding, high-voltage mood. He shared the poster with the caption, “Nazre milengi, lekin hatengi nahin! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027. See you at the movies!”
The reveal comes as part of a carefully staggered rollout for the film’s lead cast. Two posters of Ranbir Kapoor were unveiled two days ago, followed by two posters of Alia Bhatt yesterday. With Vicky’s first look now out, Love & War has completed another major step in introducing its central trio through standalone character posters.
Vicky Kaushal’s First Look In Love & War
Vicky’s poster keeps things stark and character-driven. There is no elaborate backdrop and no plot reveal in sight. Instead, the entire image leans on his expression, the stillness of the frame, and the charged visual of him lighting a cigarette. That stripped-back approach makes the poster immediately arresting and lets his eyes do most of the storytelling.
His caption also fits the visual perfectly. “Nazre milengi, lekin hatengi nahin” mirrors the intense gaze in the poster and gives the campaign a strong line that is likely to stay with fans. At this stage, the makers are clearly using mood, presence, and star power to define the film’s world without giving away narrative details.
What We Know About Love & War
Love & War is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the lead. The film is written by Bhansali and Ila Bedi Dutta, backed by Bhansali Productions and Jio Studios, and is currently in post-production. Its listed release date is January 21, 2027.
The film is described as a drama, romance, and war story centered on two strong-willed Army officers whose lives become intertwined with a woman, setting up a complex love triangle. That combination of Bhansali’s scale and a lead cast featuring Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky has made the film one of the most closely watched Hindi releases on the horizon.
