Actor Vicky Kaushal is on a winning streak & is locking in some of the biggest directors in Hindi cinema for his upcoming projects. The actor, known for his versatility, has already garnered a reputation for choosing exciting and challenging roles.
As he gears up for the release of Chhaava in early 2025, directed by Laxman Utekar, Vicky is also busy shooting Love And War, a collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, marking another significant project for Vicky.
But that’s not all. Vicky’s filmography is expanding rapidly, and he’s just signed a high-profile project with one of the industry’s most respected filmmakers, Rajkumar Hirani.
Vicky Kaushal Signs To Lead Dunki Director Rajkumar Hirani’s Next
Sources close to the development revealed that after months of discussions, Vicky Kaushal is confirmed to play the lead in Hirani’s next film, which is still in the scripting phase.
“Vicky was in conversation with Rajkumar Hirani for the last few months and has signed the dotted lines for his directorial which is at present in the scripting stage.,” said a source to Pinkvilla.
Filming for this untitled project will begin in 2026 after Vicky wraps up work on Mahavatar, his collaboration with Amar Kaushik.
Hirani, who’s currently working on his digital debut with Vikrant Massey, will focus on perfecting the script of this new project before taking it to the floors. “It’s a special project and Rajkumar Hirani will extensively work on the script before taking it on floors in 2026,” the source added. With this project, Vicky’s career continues to gain momentum as he teams up with some of the best in the business.
Actor In Talks With Two Other Top Producers
In addition to these exciting collaborations, Vicky is also in talks with two major producers about potential future projects. “After Laxman Utekar, Vicky is set to switch from Sanjay Leela Bhansali to Amar Kaushik and Rajkumar Hirani. Apart from these 3, he is in talks with two more top producers for multiple projects and we shall have clarity on his other projects shortly,” the source revealed.

Vicky was last seen in Karan Johar’s Bad Newz alongside Triptii Dimri. & Sam Bahadur, a Meghna Gulzar-directed film that was a commercial success, earning over Rs 90 crore at the box office.
He also had extended appearances in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju and Dunki. Now, he is gearing up for the release of Chhaava. The film was expected to release on Dec 6 and clash with Pushpa2. However, makers decided to delay the release and go for a profitable date. The new date is yet to be announced.
