Vicky Kaushal Spill The Beans On SARDAR UDHAM SINGH

The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar and written by Ritesh Shah and Shubendu Bhattacharya. Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, Sardar Udham Singh is scheduled to hit the screens in 2020.

Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen in the critical acclaimed URI: The Surgical Strike is all set for his two big releases, Sardar Udham Singh and Bhoot.

The is quite excited about his film Sardar Udham Singh, a Shoojit Sircar directorial. The actor calls the opportunity “a dream come true”. And talks about what appealed to him to play the titular role in the biopic.

Sardar Udham Singh follows Singh, the revolutionary who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in British India in 1940, to avenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

While talking about it, the actor says, “It’s a dream come true for me to be working with Shoojit Sircar. Because it’s a very different process of acting and making a film when you are working with him. This story and character really appealed to me and the way that Shoojit da wanted to present ‘Uddham Singh’… revolutionary to the audience. That really appealed to me. The take on it is really fresh and I am looking forward to it.”

The film is a direction by Shoojit Sircar and writing by Ritesh Shah and Shubendu Bhattacharya. Starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, Sardar Udham Singh will hit the screens in 2020.
