Vicky Kaushal to star opposite Katrina in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa also starring Priyanka & Alia?

The makers of Jee Le Zaraa have chosen to approach none other than Vicky Kaushal to star in the film.

In November, it was reported that the makers of Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt, were having trouble recruiting male protagonists for the film. In reality, filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar opted to cast himself in the film in order to convince A-list male stars to join the project. Now, we learn that the film’s producers have come up with a novel strategy to add another member to the cast while also assisting with the film’s overall advertising.

According to trustworthy sources, the makers of Jee Le Zaraa have chosen to approach none other than Vicky Kaushal to star in the film. A source informs BH, “The decision of approaching Vicky Kaushal to feature in the film is pure gold. Now add to that the plan is to cast him opposite Katrina Kaif, which will make Jee Le Zaraa the first film the couple feature in together. This in itself is a marketing dream and makes promoting a film that much more easier.” But how will the addition of Vicky Kaushal to the cast help the makers finalize the remaining members? Explains the source, “With Farhan Akhtar casting himself and now Vicky also being roped in that leaves just one male lead role vacant. And casting one person is far easier than three, and that to in a film that is based on three female leads.”

While the source is confident that Vicky Kushal will approve his inclusion in the cast of Jee Le Zaraa, the film’s producers have yet to confirm the news. Jee Le Zaraa is his attempt to observe the world through the eyes of women, authored by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and him. Farhan Akhtar will helm the film, which is said to be a road trip film with three female characters.
