If everything was normal, we would be talking about Vidya Balan’s biographical Shakuntala Devi today. However, things went unlikely as planned and the global pandemic had knocked our doors.
Shakuntala Devi would have been the Vidya Balan’s next big-screen release after Mission Mangal in August 2019. Now it has been reported that t Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment and Sony Pictures Networks India are keen to jump up on an OTT release inside of waiting for the theaters to reopen.
Shakuntala Devi may apparently release through net streaming giant Amazon Prime Video. On December 12 Vidya announced the release date of the film in a very unique way. Written and directed by Anu Menon, Shakuntala Devi also stars Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra and Amit Sadh in key roles. Now it would be interesting to see how this development goes public.
