Actor Vijay Deverakonda has denied that his next flick Liger will go for the OTT route. On Monday, Deverakonda used his Twitter to sarcastically reject the rumours. He believes that even Rs 200 crore is “too little” for Puri Jagannadh’s Liger, which also stars Ananya Panday.
The Arjun Reddy actor shared a collage featuring Liger posters that had the text “Liger received a huge OTT offer of Rs 200 cr for its direct digital release and the satellite rights in all languages.” Sharing the photo, the actor captioned the photo, “Too little. I’ll do more in the theaters.”

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Puri Connects are collaborating on Liger, which will be shot in Telugu and Hindi. It stars Vijay Deverakonda as a stuttering kickboxer. With Liger, the Telugu actor, who rose to national prominence with Arjun Reddy (2017), will make his Bollywood debut.
The producers announced in May that Liger’s teaser release had been postponed due to the second wave of coronavirus. Earlier in a statement, the makers said, “We assure and guarantee that you will witness Vijay Deverakonda in a never seen before avatar and you will not be disappointed.”
Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Makarand Deshpande, and Getup Srinu also star in Liger. The movie will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
