Gangster Vikas Dubey was killed in a police shootout today. While the encounter has been trapped in conspiracy Twitter has turned the news into hilarious memes.
Experts and media panelists find this encounter fake. While Rohit Shetty shows such fake encounters in his films the meme-makers have used him to create these memes.
According to the UP police, while a police vehicle carrying him met with an accident, Vikas Dubey tried to escape from custody when police killed him. Dubey and his gang were accused of killing eight policemen.
Former DGP, Kerala, N.C. Asthana took to Twitter and questioned the encounter. He wrote, “Vikas Dubey killed? Really? The same stupid story, which they had for his aide Mishra. Tried to snatch weapon and run away! Only difference in script this time–the car overturned! Who in the world would believe in such an improbable story? That confirms–COVER UP COMPLETE NOW!”
Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Tankha said, “Vikas Dubey deserved to die, but by hanging to death on orders of court and not at the hands of police. However justified their anger, has UP Govt lost faith in its cri[minal] justice delivery system? His access pics with top leaders despite his long criminal history shocking.”
Meanwhile, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed before the Supreme Court on Friday seeking CBI probe into the killing of five of Vikas Dubey’s aides by the Uttar Pradesh Police.
