Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has finished shooting for his upcoming film The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter. This project has already sparked plenty of discussion & is another step in Agnihotri’s exploration of India’s history and social issues.
The first teaser of the film was released on Republic Day, January 26, 2025. The video features Mithun Chakraborty, reciting the Indian Constitution despite having a burned tongue. The scene has been filmed in an empty corridor.
Vivek Agnihotri Wraps Up The Delhi Files – Bengal Chapter Shoot
The shooting of this film concluded recently with a wrap-up party for the team. To celebrate the end of filming, Agnihotri shared a video of the crew cutting a cake. He posted on Instagram, saying, “And… it’s a WRAP! #TheDelhiFiles – Bengal chapter. Releasing Independence Day 2025.”

About The Film
The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter is part of Agnihotri’s trilogy, following The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files. These films have sparked national debates and tackled India’s complex political and historical landscape. Agnihotri’s new film continues this journey, delving into India’s troubled past and present.
Directed by Agnihotri and produced by Abhishek Agarwal and Pallavi Joshi, the film will be presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal and I Am Buddha Productions. The highly anticipated movie is set to release on August 15, 2025, during India’s Independence Day. It is expected to clash with Bollywood biggie War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan. Jr NTR and Kiara Advani.
