War 2 gears up for its latest shooting schedule with adrenaline-fueled action sequences awaiting to be filmed by director Ayan Mukerji. Telugu superstar Jr NTR recently arrived in Mumbai and was welcomed by the fans with open arms. Touching down at the bustling Mumbai airport today, Jr NTR‘s arrival marks the beginning of an intense ten-day shooting schedule alongside Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan.
Helmed by director Ayan Mukerji, War 2 promises to elevate the action-thriller genre to new heights. Building upon the success of its predecessor, the sequel delves deeper into the world of espionage, with Roshan reprising his role as Kabir Dhaliwal. Jr NTR is set to essay the antagonist role in this film.
Hrithik Roshan And Jr NTR To Shoot A Fight Sequence In Private Aircraft For War 2
In recent months, director Ayan Mukerji has been busy filming War 2 at a studio in Vile Parle, continuing the story from the original 2019 film with Hrithik Roshan’s character, Kabir Dhaliwal, embarking on a new mission. Yash Raj Films has secured two large floors at the studio for the shoot. Production designer Rajat Poddarr and his team have constructed a massive aircraft set, both its exterior and plush interior, for a major action sequence where Roshan faces off against Jr NTR’s character.
According to sources, Jr NTR will shoot the combat scene, which is set in a private jet and involves aerial action on the aircraft’s roof. Jr NTR will be sporting a new look for his role in the film.
Once the ten-day schedule at Vile Parle concludes, the production will shift to Yash Raj Studios in Andheri for the next phase. Over the following three months, the focus will be on filming talkie portions and ramping up the action in this espionage thriller. Compared to previous spy films like Pathaan and Tiger 3, the creators aim to make War 2 even more action-packed.
Producer Aditya Chopra and Ayan Mukerji have brought on board 11 stunt coordinators from around the world, including Sunil Rodrigues from India, each tasked with choreographing a specific set-piece. In addition to the plane sequence, the movie will feature chase scenes on trains, yachts, and speedboats, promising audiences a thrilling cinematic experience. Leading lady Kiara Advani is set to join the cast in May.

War 2 is expected to release in theatres on August 14, 2025.
