On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has unveiled the teaser of his upcoming film, Sky Force. The film, which is slated to hit the theatres on October 2, 2024, is based on the true story of India’s first and most daring airstrike against Pakistan.

The teaser, which does not show Akshay Kumar‘s character, gives a glimpse of the patriotic saga that showcases the bravery, emotion, and patriotism of the men in uniform who were involved in this historic mission. The film also marks the debut of Veer Pahariya, who will play a pivotal role in this high-octane thriller.
The nearly one-minute-long video started with a voiceover threatening India ahead of the 1965 war. The text in the video read, “Muhammad Ayub Khan, president of Pakistan, 6th September 1965, India-Pakistan war.” It was followed by an old video of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri responding to the threat. Next, the words in the video read, “The untold true story of India’s first and deadliest air strike.”

Akshay Kumar took to social media to share the teaser and wrote, “आज गांधी-शास्त्री जयंती के दिन सारा देश कह रहा है – जय जवान, जय किसान, जय विज्ञान, जय अनुसंधान. No better day than today to announce the incredible story of #SkyForce: Our untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike. Give it love, please. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat. 🇮🇳”
The teaser has received a positive response from the fans. Akshay Kumar’s previous film, Oh My God 2, was also a huge success at the box office and received rave reviews from the critics and audiences.
